Welcome to the Coastal Area Users Group (CAUG) Digital Camera Special Interest Group (SIG) pages. This site is meant to be a resource site for the members of the DigiCam SIG, as we call it, but anyone is welcome to browse and take advantage of information posted on these pages. Here you'll find lessons we've learned and assignments we've carried out to implement those lessons. Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions.

MEETING: The assignment for the November meeting is LIGHT TRAILS! This assignment will let you practice using your time exposure modes. Keeping in mind that suggestions to go play in traffic should not be taken quite so literally, we do encourage you to find safe, visual areas to capture light trails in timed exposures. A good general rule of thumb is shooting from 10 to 20 seconds starting around f8. Experiment and find the optimal settings for your camera for your chosen setups. Bring your THREE best submissions to the November meeting. Also, if you
gave the aperture-mask a go, please bring in one to three of your best
images. MEETING LOCATION and TIME:We meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on the third Tuesday of every month at the City of Corpus Christi's Central Library in the Retama room (805 Comanche at Tancahua, on the north side of Blucher Park -- click here for a map and detailed directions).Come on over and join in! You don't have to be a member to participate, but we're sure you'll want to join CAUG once you see how much fun we have!
